So i've been trying to find a solution to a problem that may or may not exist, idk i have a lot of time on my hands so i'm trying to get armubl-03.20.00.14 working with my logic pd evm kit for omap l138.

between the two of these forums i've gotten things mostly working

when i boot my device i get an error

FMD:ReadID Device not Supported Mfg=0x0, Dev=0x0 0x0 0x0

ERROR: EBOOT: FMD_Init call failed!

ERROR: Invalid device info found! fourcing default values

so I'm assuming that because i didn't change the device type i'm getting this error, I don't know how to change the device type to match my boot rom image, was he talking about the wince side or the in the armubl source or is this a whole new and improved problem?

If there is a guide to do this i couldn't find it, at least one that had a enough details with my particular verion

Hello Kevin,

If you are trying to rebuild the ubl, please refer to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_Building_Software_Components_for_OMAP-L1#Rebuilding_the_ARM_Side_User_Boot_Loader for more details.

There are also precompiled ubl included in the WINCE BSP release ready to be downloaded using a serial flashing utility sfh_OMAP-L138.exe. These binaries are included in the BSP source release directory BSP_WINCE_ARM9_01_00_02\PLATFORM\OMAPL138_AM18X\SRC\BOOT\TOOLS\bin.

I have looked at that, i wasn't sure what was going on because it wasn't working but when i sent my test ubl to someone else it worked fine, turns out it was the logicpd board, it didn't like the more aggressive settings.

Hi,

If you are using NAND for storing the EBOOT & UBL then ou have to modify the ReadFlashId function

in the file WINCE600\PLATFORM\OMAPL138_AM18X\SRC\COMMON\NAND\FMD\nand.c.

Among Serial Flash (SPI based), NOR Flash (Parallel Flash) and NAND which one are you using?

we are using the nand, however the same ubl-nand.bin file that works on our board does not work on the logicPD evm board, someone suspected it was due to having aggressive performance settings, though if its possible that something else can be changed then I'll be able to play with it more. I don't have the new board revision from my work just the logicpd one.

Though i don't have a ReadFlashID

i do have a Local_FlashGetDetails.. in my nand.c
