AM5726: recommendation of 1Mbps and 500kbps settings for DCAN

Dear Champs,

My customer would like to use DCAN at 1Mbps and 500Kbps.

Could you please recommend settings for each bit rate?

My customer would like to use below values for 1Mbps. Are these correct for 1Mbps?

BRP = 20;

SJW = 1;

TSEG1 = 15;

TSEG2 = 6;

BRPE = 0;

You can find the DCAN CSL Loopback test under ~/pdk_am57xx_1_0_17/packages/ti/csl/example/dcan/dcanLoopback/dcan_loopback_app.c

It provides the API, DCANCalculateBitTimeParams(), to calculate the timing parameters. You just need to set the target bit rate, 1Mbps or 500k, and the API will return the timing parameters accordingly.

set the macro : #define DCAN_APP_BIT_RATE (500000U) or 1000000U in dcan_loopback_app_main.c,line89.
