Hi Team,

I wanted to simulate Signal integrity with TI's available IBIS file AM438x.IBS, while selecting USB0 and USB1 pins in model these USB pins only shows "INPUT" option only we not able to find driver/output option here in models, Please help here how should i get USB driver pins?

Hi Yaseen,

Could you pl. clarify the below follow-on questions:

1. Is the only .ibs model file that you have received for the USB2 interface? Is there another .ibs file that might contain the output model definition?

2. What tool are you using to read in the .ibs file?

Hi Shriram,

1. the AM438x.ibs is the only file which recieved from TI, in this files USB0 and USB1 both files have input only no driver we can assign.

2. we are using Mentor Graphics –HyperLynx VX 2.3 tool to execute

Thanks for your reply. Could you attach the .ibs file you are using so we can also confirm it is the correct one?

Hi Yaseen,

Thank you for the information. It appears that the USB DP/DM signals are treated as analog nets and therefore defined as "NC" according to IBIS 4.1 specification. I am checking with our internal teams for the output driver model for the USB signals.

Please provide us AM4382CZDNA30S processor USB0/1 output driver IBIS model so that we can perform signal integrity ASAP.

Hi Yaseen,

Thanks for your patience. We are working to identify the correct model to send you and will do so ASAP. The USB2.0 output models were not part of the IBIS model for AM438 shared on ti.com.

Yaseen,

Thanks for your patience. I understand the urgency. I have checked with multiple teams within TI and there is no IBIS model released for these output drivers by TI.

I am checking to see if there any alternate driver models for these available.
