I received the following question from a customer. I cannot find any indication in the C5514 documents that a HOLD/HOLDA function exists to support an external bus master.

I want to upgrade my C5509A design to use a C5514. A key feature in my architecture is the use of HOLD/HOLDA to disable the EMIF outputs (allowing a different bus master). I can't find any definitive statement in the user guides or datasheets that says that I can still do this using a C5514 (either using HOLD or by idling the EMIF's domain). Is it possible to disable the C5514 EMIF outputs, and if so how?
