Hi, Experts,

1.I saw in the 4.3.4 OSPI Boot Device Configuration section of the manual that configuring the BOOTMODE-6 pin can set the speed in OSPI mode, 0 = 33MHz; 1 = 133MHz;

2.When I set BOOTMODE-6 pin = 0, does 33MHz refer to the output clock of OSPI?

So when I set BOOTMODE-6 pin = 1, does 133MHz mean the output clock of OSPI? Or is this 133MHz the reference clock internally further divided into other frequencies?

Hi Xie,

The 33/133 MHz is the OSPI Bus clock frequency. There is no internal division. When you set Bootmode-6 pin = 1
the bus clock frequency is set to 133MHz.

As you said, Does bus clock mean the clock when I communicate? In other words, when I set Bootmode-6 pin = 0, the communication clock is 33MHz, and when Bootmode-6 pin = 1, the communication clock is 133MHz; the latter is about 4 times faster than the former, can this be understood?。

When Bootmode-6 pin=0, is the communication clock between DRA829 and Nor flash 33MHz? When Bootmode-6 pin=1, is the communication clock between DRA829 and Nor flash 133MHz?

Hi Xie,

I am checking with the development team on whether Bootmode-6 pin=1 configuration is tested or not.
Bootmode-6 pin=0 is the default tested used bootmode.

The above explanation from you is correct.

Are you planning to try with Bootmode-6 pin=1?

Hi Xie,

I got a confirmation from the expert that 133M configuration is not supported. Hence only 33M
is the available fequency. Hope this answers your question. If there are no further questions can

I want to ask finally, when will 133MHz be supported?

I use SDK7.0 when debugging with the development board, it seems that it can start and execute the APP normally.

Hi Xie,

Enabling 133MHz is not part of the next SDK version. So we are only
claiming 33MHz for the next release as well.

Please resolve the issue if no further questions.
