Dear Champs,

My customer is investigating on DRA829V for Automotive Gateway and want to know below.

1. Could you please let me know when AVB(802.1AS, 802.3Qat) will be implemented on DRA829?

2. Is there any plan to implement below network features including security on DRA829?

- IDS, IPsec, L2 bridge, VLAN, MACSec.

3. Can we support 'Hardware NAT' on DRA829?

4. Is the maximum performance of each port of CPSW is 2.5Gbps in SGMII mode? e.g. Can all 8 ports of CPSW can have 2.5Gbps?

Q1: 802.1AS is now supported with the SDK 7.0 release. See the Ethernet Firmware documentation - http://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-jacinto7/latest/exports/docs/ethfw/docs/user_guide/demo_ethfw_combined_top.html

802.1Qat is not supported and we do not have a release target at this time.

Q2:
- IDS: Not planned. Commercial stack offering should be explored
- IPSec: Supported: software-dl.ti.com/.../Crypto.html
- L2 Bridge: Supported. See Ethernet Firmware user guide - Support for configuration of the Ethernet Switch to enable L2 switching between external ports with VLAN, multi-cast
- VLAN: Supported. See Ethernet Firmware user guide - Inter-VLAN routing configuration in hardware with software fall-back support
- MACSEC: Not supported by hardware

Q3: NAT is supported by the NDK. See software-dl.ti.com/.../02_overview.html

Q4: Yes. As mentioned in the datasheet the CPSW9G supports:
Integrated ethernet switch supporting (total of 8 external ports)
– Up to eight 2.5Gb SGMII
– Up to eight RMII(10/100) or RGMII (10/100/1000)
– Up to two QSGMII
