AM3352: Cannot initialize eMMC - Custom board cannot send eMMC command to onboard eMMC

Part Number: AM3352

I am working on bring up an newly designed custom board with a AM3352 processor. I now have
Linux boot up from SD card and it runs good. The problem I am having is that I cannot get MMC1
communicatingeMMC_no_response_for_command.pdf with the eMMC. I have attached a document which has more detail describe the
investigation I have done. Please go through it and give advice and direction what I should do next to root cause the problem.

Jian,

it is a bit hard to see but on your schematic extract it looks like your MMC1_CLK signal is connected to the CMD pin of the eMMC? And the MMC1_CMD signal is connected to the CLK pin on the eMMC? Can you double-check this?

Hi Andreas,

I just check the schematic; yes indeed on the schematic it has the problem you pointed out.

I will now contact the third part hardware designer and see what they say. I never expect there could be such mistake.
