TDA4VM: Executing an Image(created from Script) from U-boot prompt

Dear TI,

We have created an Image Script to execute from U-boot prompt instead of typing all the lines from u-boot prompt which we can execute using TFTP tool in Linux. I would like to know if it is possible to copy the script somewhere in SD card and than from U-boot prompt execute it ? Like we do from Linux .sh script execution.

Hi Manish,

You can use the *.img to script in u-boot.

Please refer https://www.denx.de/wiki/view/DULG/UBootScripts on how to convert a text file into a script image for U-Boot.

After you have a *.img you can run the following to run it from the u-boot prompt. Let us say you have the setenv.img in /home/root

Hit any key to stop autoboot:  0
=>
=>
=> load mmc 1:2 0x80000000 /home/root/setenv.img
170 bytes read in 2 ms (83 KiB/s)
=> source 0x80000000
