AM5749: How to design gpio for one GbE and four PRU-ICSS ECAT?

Part Number: AM5749

Hi Expert,

according AM574x Industrial Development Kit (IDK) Evaluation Module (EVM) (Rev. B).pdf

There are two GbE and four PRU-ICSS ECAT on Figure 5. AM574x IDK EVM Block Diagram.

Could I design one GbE and four PRU-ICSS ECAT on the customer board?

How to assign the gpio for the design?

Thanks

Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

The AM574x series introduced an additional layer of pinmux that would enable your use case.  Essentially the pinmux will ultimately look similar to the AM571x IDK implementation.  If you use the AM571x IDK as a guide, you should be mostly there.  You will need to of course verify the pinmux as there may be some changes on the second set of PRU-ICSS pins (this is where the additional layer of pinmux'ing was added).

    Regards,
