TMS320DM642: Appropriate video codec product

Part Number: TMS320DM642

(TMS320DM642 may not be correct IC.)

One our potential customer is looking for apropriate video codec IC manufactured by TEXAS INSTRUMENTS now to change from Chrontel CH7108B.

Their requirement is:
- TMDS input to Y/C output conversion
- Y/C output of NTSC-M/PAL-B
- Switching of NTSC/PAL is decided by the input of the codec IC (H/L signal).
- (They don't do data forming by TMDS input.)

Could you please let me know the IC number and send the datasheet (if it is not published)?

Hello,

could you confirm the application is similar to a HDMI->Svideo converter? and it is only for standard SDTV resolutions?

The processor device may be an overkill, yet still need an external HDMI receiver.
