Dear experts,

Does C7x DSP support exp and log operation? It is very common in some deep learning layer.

Is there any intrinsic api to do that quickly?

As far as I know, LUT can do 8bit exp/log, but how about 32bit float?

Hi ZM,

On C66 we have MATHLIB which does all transcendental function slike exp/log etc. On C7x there is no plans of doing MATHLIB yet. One can still take the C66 implementation and cross-compile for C7x DSP.

The LUT for 32-bit float will be massive and cannot fit in 16kb/32kb of L1DSRAM.

I found the MATHLIB for C66x, and the asm file for exp/log. Theoretically, we can porting that asm to vector mode.
