I am trying to power up the EVM and get the display on the monitor as mentioned in the guide. The SDK version is V07.00.00.04  .

Yogesh,

If you are using PSDKRA, then it is the expected behavior. To get something on the display you will need to run an app which renders some content for e.g. the camera app.

I followed the instructions as mentioned in the link attached below. According to that the SD card is bootable with linux. However , when I followed the procedure with just the SD card , it did not work. Post that , I tried making the SD card bootable with PSDKLA following the instructions in the SDK installation guide. It still doesn't work.

When you say it does not work, does the board not even boot?

A couple of other questions:

1. You are trying to boot linux?

2. Did the initial scripts passed? You need to follow the SDK documentation at https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-linux-jacinto7/latest/exports/docs/linux/Overview_Getting_Started_Guide.html

Also there is an issue with the linux SDK scripts - https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/916950 - please look at this to resolve this.

Please let me know the steps you tried and I can try to guide you through the same.

The initial scripts passed. However , I can run it again and attach the log file of the messages on the terminal. Yes, I used the link you mentioned to make the SD card bootable 

I checked the link you provided regarding the issue in linux SDK scripts. According to that thread , those errors did not affect the functioning.

The steps I tried are as mentioned in the guide I had attached in the previous posts.

Have you connected UART? There will be nothing on the display and I want yo check if you are able to boot or not. Then we can look at running some application which puts something on the display.

For you UART you need to connect to CONNECTOR J44, with a micro USB, It will give you 4 instances of the UART and you need to connect to the 0th one on that.

Can you try this and let me know?

Yes , I connected to connector J44 with micro USB and the other end to my PC. It listed four 4 instances ttyUSB0-3. I connected to ttyUSB0 on minicom and configured the port to 115200 baud rate , 8 bits , no parity and flow control off. I did not see anything in the minicom terminal window.
