VPIF use with raw video

I apologize for my lack of knowledge.  I was brought on a project to help set up the development system and to see how far I could get on the setup of the DM6467 board.  I currently have all of the needed things from the GSG put into place on the Linux machine to run the board off of its NFS directory.  I can run the demos from both the interface and from the command line just fine.

The next step is to use a custom board that we developed in house that would run through what I think is called the VPIF.

If I am wrong on the exact input name it is the one that when a device is plugged into the port then it will override the MUX for component/composite.  If I am off on this please let me know.

What we need to achieve is to bring raw video in from that port and encode it.  When we get everything optimised we hope to be running 1080p at upwards of 20 fps.

Any help or pointers to were to find file to look at as reference would be great.

Again I apologize for my lack of knowledge in this area and appreciate any and all help that you could provide to me.

Thank you very much,

Clayton Reeves
