Windows Embedded Compact 7

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3730

Dear TI Team,

A week or so ago we signed the paperwork with Microsoft for the Pre-Release of Windows Embedded Compact 7 for Texas Instruments.  Since Microsoft released Release Candidate 1 of WEC7 last week, we only need access to the WEC7 version of the BSP.  The Bsquare version comes with WEC7, but we were looking for the new Adeneo/TI developed version.  Is there anything else we need to do to obtain this?  We contacted Adeneo and they mentioned waiting for TI on support.  Any ideas?

Sincerely,

Jason

  • Jason,

Suggest you contact your local TI field representative and they can help you through the process. As you know, we can't publically release the TI developed version prior to the Microsoft WEC7 RTM. However, we are providing early engineering copies of our work-in-progress to a limited number of select customers that satisfy an approval process agreed to between TI & Microsoft.  It sounds like you may be through much of the preliminary paperwork.

  • Hi, Jason

You can try to port current WCE6.0 Adeneo BSP to WEC7, I have tried it.

It can now boot up successfully, but still some work to do, such as I have no OpenGL dll and libs for WEC7 to work with DM3730.

So, you can try to port it yourself.

Maybe it is an easier way
