Part number Suffix Question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6455

Can you help shed some light on this?  In the Datasheet for the TMS320C6455 the “GTZ” Suffix indicates leaded and the additional “A” is the temp range.  We have the “A” coded in our system as RoHS compliant.  Therefore, a “GTZA” would be RoHS compliant, Leaded part.

  • Just to clarify, are you asking if the 'A' in 'GTZA' stands for Leaded part (GTZ) with RoHS compliance (A)? If this is the case then the answer is no.

In the world of TI DSP nomenclature the G** packages are all leaded devices, Z** are RoHS 5/6 compliant (lead-free balls, leaded solder bumps), and C** are completely lead-free. An 'A' after the package will always indicate extended temperature.
