Does EtherCAT Master/Slave stack comes along with Eval board ordered?

Hi,

I am going to use AM5728 processor for EtherCAT Master and AM3359 for EtherCAT Slave implementation. For this I have chosen TMDSEVM572X as EtherCAT Master eval board and TMDSICE3359 as EtherCAT slave eval board.

Kindly confirm whether the eval board will be loaded with EtherCAT Master stack from Acontis and EtherCAT Slave stack from Beckhoff respectively. If the mentioned Eval board doesn't have respective stack, suggest the correct one.

Note: I need to test my EtherCAT Slave implementation using EtherCAT Master Eval board and viceversa.

Rajesh,

There is no pre-loaded EtherCAT master/slave on these boards.

For master, please refer to https://training.ti.com/ethercat-master-on-sitara-processors-acontis-codesys?context=1128529-1128525 and contact Acontis for its stack.

For slave, please download from https://www.ti.com/tool/PRU-ICSS-INDUSTRIAL-SW

Thanks for the information.

Is PRU-ICSS Industrial-SW is enough to make an Eval board as EtherCAT slave?

I will connect this eval board to communicate with my EtherCAT Master. By this way I am going to confirm my EtherCAT Master board will be working fine.

I will check with Acontis for EtherCAT Master stack.

Yes, you will have a limited function demo for EtherCAT slave evaluation. You can refer to its use guide and download EtherCAT stack and build a full application.
