Selecting a suitable processor

I would suggest starting with the image sensor and determining the specifics about it that will accomplish your goals.  At that point, you will then have a feel for resolution in terms of number of pixels in the horizontal and vertical planes and frame rate.

Once you have this, then a selection of a processor can start.

There are a number of devices in the DaVinci line which have video and image input interfaces which can be connected to image sensors, but again, understanding the frame rate and resolution is important.

we are trying to use a cmos sensor since it consumes low power( we are going  to develop a hand held device). But we did'nt finalize it yet. do you have any kind of cmos sensors with high resolution. 

Or do u have any suggestions ..... 

TI does not manufacture CMOS imagers.
