TDA2P-ACD: Results of example of EMIF tools do not macht with used values in SW

Hi experts,

while following the instruction of this document: https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprac36e/sprac36e.pdf?ts=1599046151508&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F

I downloaded the tool from here: http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sprac36 .

To try to make sense of the tool, I just started taking a look to the examples provided.

So, I chose "AM574x_DDR3L_666MHz_TI_AM574x_IDK" and loaded the settings for it.

Then I installed the SDK-RTOS-AM57xx to see how those values are integrated in the selected board.

I looked at \pdk_am57xx_1_0_17\packages\ti\board\src\idkAM572x\idkAM572x_ddr.c file and i noted a missmatch between the calculated values and the used values.

may anybody explain me why those discrepancies?

Hi,

When I loaded the config from the XLS tool, it appeared that some timings may have been more relaxed than required.

Do you have specific questions about how to fill in the parameters of the XLS tool, or how to use the output?

Hi Kevin

in the meantime i got the correct setting for my platform.

I just considered confusing that the EVM used as example at the end is not using the calculated values generated by the DDR spreadsheet.
