TI,

The 4Mbit NAND Flash chip MT29F4G08AACWC:C for the AM1808 EVM is getting harder to find.

Can you comment on the viability of the following 3.3V, 48-TSOP substitutions?

MT29F8G08AAAWP:A          Dropped in without changes?  Only the first 4Mbits will be used.

MT29F4G08ABADAWP:D   Can't find docs on ABADAWP:D (Digikey said this is 3.3V, but not sure)

Do you know of a source for the original MT29F4G08AACWC:C?

Regard,

Nelson

  • Micron is discontinuing the MT29F4G08AACWC:C which was used on the EVM. The replacement part for this is MT29F4G08ABADAWP:D, which is on the newest revisions of the EVM. The AC timings have changed on that part slightly, so some software changes might be necessary.
