AM5728: AM5728 Spec IO Level&Current

Hi Expert,

My customer check the AM5728 spec,the spec have data for IO Pull Up and Pull Down Sink Current, but he can't find out Sink Current when U1 and U2 are Open Drian.

AM5728 spec only have data for I2C Open Drain IO Sink Current.

Refer to the Idrive parameter in table

The Dual Voltage LVCMOS DC Electrical characteristic tables list the IDRIVE parameter. This is the minimum drive capability of the IO.

Could you tell me what is the Max Input current at U1 and U2 when U1 and U2 are Open Drian?

I am afraid that over current will damge U1 and U2.

I can't find out from the spec.

Are you looking to size the pull-up resistor value? We recommend 2.2K-ohms.

The IDrive parameter for the dual-voltage CMOS pins is 6mA.

That IO type you show is specifically an open drain IO. U1 and U2 are Dual Voltage LVCMOS pins that are emulating open drain modes. Yes - I think the same information is available

Hi Robert,

When U1 and U2 are set to open drian, if the sink current is 65 ua and pull-up resistor value should be 50K-ohms? It seems to be small.

So what is the sink current when u1 and u2 are set to open drian?

The Idrive is spec'd for 6mA (Minimum) - as shown in your data manual snip-it. This is the amount of current the pin can sink when pulling the signal low.
