AM5728: Behavior of CRC error register of MMC on AM5728

Part Number: AM5728

Hi,

I’ve received a questions about the CRC error register of MMC on AM5728 from the customer.

There are the CCRC (Command CRC Error) at the bit 17 and ACE (Auto CMD error) at the bit 24 on MMCHS_STAT register. And there is the following description of the ACE bit field in the TRM as follows;

Auto CMD12 and Auto CMD23 use this error status. This bit is set when detecting that one of the bits D00-D04 in Auto CMD Error Status register (MMCHS_AC12) has changed from 0 to 1. In case of Auto CMD12, this bit is set to 1, not only when the errors in Auto CMD12 occur but also when Auto CMD12 is not executed due to the previous command error.

Then, they have a question. What’s the difference of behavior of CCRC and ACCE when CRC error occurred during using the both Auto CMD12 and Auto CMD23 ?

When the both Auto CMD12 and Auto CMD23 were used, the CCRC bit was not set ? or was “1” set on the both CCRC and AACE ?

Regards,

Hideaki
