Hi!

I am using sitara AM3358 processor on custom board with RTOS SDK 6_01_00_08.

I have configured NAND Flash Writer as per our NAND. Currently I am flashing the NAND through XDS 110 in debug mode running the NAND flash writer. In this scenario processor is reading binary file through xds 110 available on PC as per given path. Now I want to flash the code through UART. What is the procedure for this? How the processor will read the binary file from my PC?

Hi Gaurav,

This method of flashing is no longer supported. Uniflash (www.ti.com/.../UNIFLASH) is a better route for what you're trying to accomplish.

I have installed uniflash_sl.6.1.0.2829 but it is not showing sitara AM3358 processor.

I tried in command prompts as per instructions given in TI document https://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335X_StarterWare_Booting_And_Flashing#Booting_Via_NAND.

Whatever UART FLash Programmer binary is available in C:\ti\uniflash_6.1.0\processors\FlashWriter\evmAM335x, is it applicable on our custom board for our NAND? If no, what would be the next procedure?

Could you please send me the UART Flash Programmer code so that I can configure as per our custom board?

The source code can be found in <PDK Install Dir>\packages\ti\starterware\tools\flash_writer\src\nand-flash-writer_AM335x\src

As a note, we no longer support this code.

In Uniflash sitara AM335x processor is not showing in device list. How can I use Uniflash?

Hi Gaurav,

Uniflash is only compatible with AM335x via the CLI tool.

Instructions for using Uniflash with AM335x can be found here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_board.html

To use CLI tool, I have to use Windows command prompt, right?
