OMAP44430 BLAZE DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM - Beta. Failed to connect with HyperTerminal

Hi all,

I'm starting to work with OMAP4 Blaze.

I have a problem to connect the board to HyperTerminal.

My OMAP4 (SEVM4430G-00-01-00) have only one config CTL - S2 tag. I configure it: 1 - OFF, 2,3,4 - ON.

After connection the board to Windows PC In Device Manager USB controller added for additional entries (USB Serial Converted A,B,C,D) and under Ports (COM and LPT)

added 4 USB Serial ports(18,19,20,21)

I tried to configure the HyperTerminal with 18,19,20,21 ports.

Other HyperTerminal configurations: (BitRate=18115200, DataBits=8, Parity=None, StopBits=1, FlowControl=None)

My Board have Reset Button near the Ethernet entry, i'm not if its work properly.

I did the reset by dissconnect/connect power cable.

I can't see any response from the board via HyperTerminal.

Please assist to fix the problem.

BR

Evgeny

  • I realize this is an old post, and hopefully you have solved this problem by now.

There is no forum dedicated to OMAP4/Blaze here, so for any future questions, please use the #linux-omap chat room on freenode IRC. Instructions on how to set this up are here: http://omappedia.com (see 'IRC Setup' on bottom of page). Also, see the step by step instructions on how to get your Blaze up and running, under 'OMAP Development Platforms' -> Blaze on the same page.

See you in the chat room!
