Hello,

POK modules are responsible for detecting the voltage levels. Over-voltage and under-voltage can be monitored for different inputs.

I want to know how to properly set upper and lower thresholds for specific POK module. For example, if we want to monitor 3.3 V, what is upper or lower limit which will trigger over\under detection?

I suppose it is related to POK_TRIM field in control register, but there no detailed explanation in TRM. Can you give me more details about this setting.

Hi Stefan,

I saw documentation on POK in the Safety Manual from TI. Did you get a chance to look at that? It will have more information than the TRM.

Hi Karan,

We have following Safety Manual - DRA829/TDA4VM Safety Manual Jacinto™ 7 Processors (SPRUIR1–December 2019) and there is no too much information in this document about POK. Is there a newer version of this document?

Stefan,

The trim values are set by TI in the factory to appropriate UV/OV levels for the rails that they are mapped to. You don’t need to change those levels in SW.

Hello Kyle,

Thank for your reply. Maybe my question was not proper - what I actually want is to test this safety mechanism. So, I wanted to reduce this thresholds in order to trigger under/over voltage detection. For this purposes I need to know how to properly set TRIM values. Do you suggest some other approach for testing this feature?
