CCS/AM5728: Create custom platform for AM5728

Dear Champs,

My customer create custom platform by referring below e2e, and could not know how they can add multi-cores for AM5728.

They want to create custom platform for AM5728 having same information as ti.platforms.evmAM5728.

e.g. they create custom platform by selecting cortexa15 for device family and DRA7xx for device name as below.

and then import ti.platforms.evm5728 as below, and finished.

When they EDIT customer platform, they could not find any other cores information as below.

They want to see other cores like ti.platform.evmAM5728 as below.

Could you please help how customer can create custom platform same as ti.platform.evmAM5728?

My customer is using CCS v9.3.0 now.

Hi SI,

Apologies for a delayed response here. Can just creating a new configuration using the exiting device AM5728 not work here?

You can follow the below to create that:

1. FIle -> New -> Target Configuration File -> Finish

2. Select the connection based on the debugger you have.

3. Select the device as AM5728.

4. Click save to save this target configuration.

5. Right click on the Target configuration -> Launch Selected Configuration

6. Once the target configuration comes up, you will see all the core.

Thanks for your response.

I'm not meaning to connect other cores using 'TargetConfiguration'.

What my customer is trying to do is to make custom 'Platform' file, not targetconfiguration file.

He wants to make custom 'Platform' file to customize memory map for their custom board.

Then, how customer can make platform file for their board? Should they modify EVM platform file for them?
