AM3358: Can I connect PMIC to I2C1 or I2C2?

I see that in the Beagle Bone Black, PMIC communicates with AM3358 over I2C0 port (which is inside the Wake up power domain)

Can I change this I2C interface (PMIC to AM3358) to I2C1 or I2C2 (which are in the peripherals domain), without losing any functionality?

Hello Venugopal,

Could you tell us a bit more about your power usecase? All of our AM3358 Technical documentation for PMICs specify I2C0 (filter by "Powering the AM335x"). The AM335x Low Power Design Guide mentions that

"The AM335x has a Cortex M3 that uses I2C0 to adjust voltages during DS0 (Deep Sleep), so to take advantage of this feature, make sure the PMIC is connected on the I2C0 bus."

I was wondering if there was any loss of functionality in interfacing PMIC to I2C1 port.

Your second line answers my question perfectly. I will have to go with I2C0 for voltage adjustment during deep sleep.
