AMIC110: Ethernet Services

HI,

I am planning to use AMIC110 for Ethernet IP protocol.

But apart from it, I also want to add more ethernet related services to it.

i want to know whether below mention services are provided by TI as part of software solution?

If not how should I proceed to have such services which can be implemented over AMIC110.

DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)

BOOTP (Bootstrap Protocol)

DPWS (Devices Profile for Web Services)

SFTP and/or FTP/S (Secure File Transfer Protocol) by default

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) by default disabled

I am not planning Linux.

I am going to use TI RTOS.(SYS BIOS Based)

Please refer to "EthernetIP_Adapter_Datasheet.doc' in PRU-ICSS-EthernetIP_Adapter_01.00.03.04\docs for supported protocols.

Hi,

Thanks for the clarification.

1) Does AMIC 110 and AM437x both supports ipv6?

2) and is it possible to implement LLDP(The Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is a vendor-neutral link layer protocol used by network devices for advertising their identity, capabilities, and neighbors on a local area network based on IEEE 802 technology, principally wired Ethernet.) in AMIC 110 as well AM437x?

3) I have seen only one API provided for tftp(NtTftpRecv ), is it enough? can you provide path for example code of tftp(RFC 1350 )?

4) can u also provide which sdk (for both amic 110 and am43xx) has ftp example?

5) what we need to do implement HTTPS? and how to access HTTP example?

hi,

currently i am using ndk version 3.40.1.01 which is used for Ethernet/IP protocol(PRU-ICSS-EthernetIP_Adapter_01.00.03.04).

1) Is it possible to use different version of ndk with PRU-ICSS-EthernetIP_Adapter_01.00.03.04?

2) If i develope some application such as sntp,snmp with ndk version 3.40.1.01 is it possible to migrate those application to other NDK version?

It depends on which version of ndk you will use. Recent NDK version has moved some networking service to a separate package, e.g. ns_2_75_00_17

ndk ndk_3_40_01_01. right?

Other than the sntp example mentioned above, we don't have an example specifically integrated in the EtherNet/IP on AMIC110.
