OMAP3530: OMAP3530

Part Number: OMAP3530

Hello,

I am going to use OMAP3530 in my new design. Where can I find a reference design (schematics)? I need to know about the memory parts, RAM, NAND FLASH....

Thanks,

  • Kevin

Here's a link to the EVM user guide.  While not a reference design, it does include information and schematics you will find useful.  The technical documents in the product folder will also detail the capabilities and limitations of the device - Primarily the datasheet, TRM, and Errata.

Please note that there may be limited support for these devices.

Can you elaborate further on your request?

  • Paul,

Thanks for the answer. However, I didn't find any information in memory. Do you have any?

Besides, Can I use AMX4370 to replace OMAP3530? My goal is don't change any software.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

  • I'll assume you are asking about DDR.  The datasheet has details on the DDR interface requirements, including the use of POP memory or PCB implementations. We don't provide recommendations for specific memory part numbers.

I don't know your full system goals, so it's not possible for me to comment on the applicability of the AM437x as a replacement processor. There is however more collateral and tools available for the AM437x.

Any change of processor will require some level of software changes.  You may get a more detailed answer by submitting an additional E2E question on that specific topic.
