SD Card Connection ezDSP 5505

Hi all,

I'm trying to build a breakout-board that can employ up to 8 SD cards. I want to implement a simple wav-recorder using the RTC to start recording every hour for about ten minutes. If one of the SD Cards is full, the next card will be used for recording.

My questions are:

1.) How do I connect a single SD Card to the MMCSD Port of the 5505? What is the correct pin connection between SD and 5505?

2.) How can I switch between different cards?

3.) Are there any examples of wav-recording?

By the way I'm queit at the beginning of my ezDSP experiences ;-)

Hi,

1) Refer schematic from Spectrum Digital http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/usbstk5515/reva/

2) Not sure how to do it.

3) Refer CSL example from under c55xx_csl\ccs_v4.0_examples\mmc_sd. CSL_MMCSD_SdCardFSExample will be a good fit for you.

Though you need to add getting audio samples and store samples in the code.

Hi Mo,

I am also trying to record wav files on the SD card. Have you completed the project? If so, could you provide some examples to help out a fellow beginner as well?
