TMS320DM8148: UART Boot

Part Number: TMS320DM8148

Hi,

We have a product based on the TMS320DM8148. The product is working good so far. However, we have some boards that don't boot correctly.

We load the initial u-boot.min.uart via a computer RS232 port. On some very few boards the UART program download completes but after that, it does nothing. Nothing is coming out of the serial port.

On document sprugz8g.pdf section 4.8.3 talks about Peripheral Boot Procedure Overview. It says that after Transfer Completes Successfully, it Transfer Control to 0x40300000

Since the DSP does nothing after that it seems that the internal 128KB OCMC RAM is bad therefore needs a DSP replacement.

Are we assuming this correctly or the program should be running from DDR3 memory?

Thanks,

Scutum
