AM5729: How to implement C66x EDMA with RTOS?

Hello.

I am implementing C66x EDMA in AM5729 A15(Linux) + C66x(RTOS) environment.

The attached source is for EDMA3 implemented in the TMS320C66x SoC RTOS environment. (See attached file EDMA3SingleTansfer.zip)

I have a question as follows, and I would like to ask.

1. In the AM5729 A15 (Linux) + C66x (RTOS) environment, can I implement C66x EDMA in the same way as the attachment?

2. How to implement System EDMA and C66x Subsystem EDMA in AM5729 A15(Lunux) + C66x(RTOS) environment.

3. Can I know how to additionally set DDR MAR in C66x(RTOS)?

1. If you are building PSDK Linux for AM57xx, please refer to the below link for information regarding how A15 and DSP communicates.

Make sure DSP setup EDMA transfer to memory which is reserved for DSP to use from Linux.

2. Linux has the kernel driver for System EDMA. DSP EDMA is completely owned by DSP. It is easier to manage to only use DSP EDMA on DSP.

3. You can call Cache.setMarMeta() in your *.cfg file to set MAR register. Please refer to ~/ti/bios_6_76_03_01/docs/cdoc/ti/sysbios/family/c66/Cache.html and look for Cache.setMarMeta() description.
