Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X
Hi Team,
I am posting this on behalf of our customer. To make sure that I will not miss all the issue, I will paste here the customer inquiry:
"I have a bone blk(BB) board really worked great for me as far as 2015
I hadd its stuff in HDD on Linux Ubuntu 10 and the HDD dead, stop spining
Now per request from client of my consulting firm I got back to work on BB Linux and ran into so many problem I never had before 6 years ago when I got it up/ran perfectly
down loaded the latest
PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM335X 06_03_00_106
1) Tool chain
developer.arm.com/.../gcc-arm-8.3-2019.03-x86_64-arm-linux-gnueabihf.tar.xz
2) Linux source
software-dl.ti.com/.../am335x-evm-linux-sdk-src-06.03.00.106.tar.xz
Per info there it recommend to use Ubuntu14 with make version 3.8
Per TI Info on uboot for BeagleBone Black cofig with
am335x_evm_defconfig
But the uboot include only
am335x_evm_vboot_defconfig
However I went on to build it and ends up in failure with error below
HOSTCC scripts/basic/fixdep
cc1: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-std=gnu11’
make[1]: *** [scripts/basic/fixdep] Error 1
make: *** [scripts_basic] Error 2
I did try with as many release as I could and found sarting from the latest 06_03It's very wierd as it goes from the latest v6,v5, v4, v3, v2, v1, and All suden v8 v7
Total I download 15 releasees and found only few uboot version uboot-2013, uboot-2014, uboot-2015, uboot*20126. uboot-2019
I could compile all but the latest boot-2019
The problem with old version is it does booting but hand due to error "UNKOWN BOARD"
Even the board was from market not a custom one
The board is good as It work with my old stuff in SD card built 5years ago around 2015
I had the board up/ran smoothly from bootup/load kernel and ask for login
My question is where to down load Linux the release I got it 5 year agoworked perfectly with my BB
Why starting from the latest release v6 back the previous release numbered v6.. v1 and allsuden v8, v7"
Please let me know if you are able to support this inquiry.

Jonathan
