Unable to find File System for OMAPL138

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, OMAP-L138

HI There,

I was until now using SDK 4.0.0.4 and now testing to use latest SDK-Linux v6.3.0.106 for OMAPL138 SoC.

As part of the partition of the SD card, I can find the FileSystem that was called "tisdk-server-extra-rootfs-image-omapl138-lcdk.tar.xz Which file system should I use, please?

And following the documentation :

software-dl.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Linux_create_SD_card_script.html

  • Hi, Mitesh,

Do you talk about the 2 filesystem tarball option in section 1.1.2.4 SD Card using default images? Isn't that for "Choose rootfs tarball for K2G"? OMAP-L138 doesn't have extra-rootfs filesystem in the release package. Does the system prompt you for which filesystem to use when running create-sdcard.sh? I can't remember if it prompts though. You should pick install the default images, It should carry you through the sd card creation.

  • Hi Rex, you are right, that was for K2G. but I do get  option to load server or docker. but I wanted or was using extra in SDK 4.0.0.4, Which is the equivalent of extra filesystem of SDK 4.0.0.4 in SDK 6.3.0.106?

  • Hi, Mitesh,

I think you want to use server instead of docker. I don't know what does the server-extra-rootfs have in addition to non-extra. My impression is ltp which I just checked in the filesystem of PLSDK 6.0. It has ltp. Have you checked the filesystem if it has the ones you want?

    Rex

  • Hi, yes, the server option looks to be the one. But all the folders in the server are not been created in the rootfs partition of the SD card.
