TDA2SX: Is there a difference in the speed of a single EMIF data line 16bits and a single EMIF data line 32BITS?

Hi,

If EMIF uses a 32bits data line, will the transmission speed be faster than a 16bits data line?

Hi,

The data rate of the DDR interface is the same regardless of 16-bit or 32-bit bus width. However, the bandwidth should be greater for a 32-bit bus width compared to a 16-bit bus.

So for the system, EMIF 16BITS and 32BITS will not have a speed impact?
As you said, data rate is the same.

Hi,

Sorry, I was referring to the frequency of the DDR interface. TDA2SX supports the following DRAM speed grades regardless of whether the DDR bus width is 16-bit or 32-bit.

TDA2SX max supported DRAM speed grades: DDR2-800, DDR3-1066, DDR3L-1066
