TDA2SX: tidl_od usecase encountered video stop problem

Hi,

About the modified usecase.
It appears that the video stream does not release the video BUFFER in Mege link Q2,
I want to know if I change the 1-channel object detection to the 2-channel, which side should be paid attention to.

Hi,

1)The above use-case is working fine for the single-channel & some issue for 2 channels.  Is my understanding is correct?

2) Is the same chain used for the single & 2 channel use-case?

3) What are the changes added for the 2 channel use-case?

(1) No, The usecase above is designed for 2-channel.

(2)The chains_tidlOD usecase original design for single-channel, He uses 4 eves to run a single-channel.

(3)In the two-channel usecase, I assign 2 EVEs to one channel.

The above 2CH use-case is working fine but after 5hours  getting an error "UTILS: MBX: Utils_mbxSendCmd(): Msg Alloc Failed (0)!!!", my understanding is correct?

By the way some time does not apear an error  "UTILS: MBX: Utils_mbxSendCmd(): Msg Alloc Failed (0)!!!" but does not have input and output frame in the sync link .

Merge_OD and Merge_OD_1 run on DSP have problems?

The assigned task priority for Algorithm link & Merge link is 

#define ALGORITHM_LINK_TSK_PRI             (2U)

#define MERGE_LINK_TSK_PRI               (12U)

For more information please refer the file: vision_sdk/links_fw/src/rtos/links_common/system/system_priv_common.h

EVE & DSP core is dedicated to run the Algorithm & it uses non-preemptive scheduling, so the Merge link will block for some time until the Algorithm link completes the task. Because of this reason we are not recommending to run the Merge link on DSP or EVE.

I tried the chain&link you suggested, and EVE1 appears: UTILS: MBX: Utils_mbxSendCmd(): Msg Alloc Failed (0)!!!, check the FPS dropped from 15 to 10.

I will try the following suggestions:

1) Remove the custom algorithm(Alg_failureDetect_Dsp1, Alg_failureDetect_Dsp2) from the chain & try again

2) Still the issue is not resolved then bypass the "Alg_FrameCopy(DSP1)"  link & try again.

Ans : Two channels means two 1920*1080 cameras, which are divided into two sides by the select link, and two EVEs are one camera to perform object detection.

One channel means 1 1920*1080 camera, 4 EVEs for one camera to perform object detection.

Hi,

I have been running 2CH on EVM Board and Custom Board for a long time since 11/13~11/16. The EVM is running well and the Custom Board Sync link has no input and output.

Hi,

It seems one of the links is hung-up in custom board or the capture link is not sending data to the next link. So recommending to add debug prints in all links except IPC_IN, IPC_OUT, Merge, select & sync link & find out which link is causing the issue. Add the debug prints in the process function of all links used in your chain.

ex:

Int32 AlgorithmLink_frameCopyProcess(void * pObj)

// ADD the below 3 lines of code in the beginning of the process function

I always run DL on SBL level HIGH. Do you have any doubts about this part?

By the way, there is no voltage control module on the custom board
