TMDX654GPEVM: TSN application

Hello Team,

My customer would like to use the TMDX654GPEVM for TSN application and wanted to know a few things below:

(1) How to check my demo system operate? Do they need to buy a master TSN or not?

(2) What is the OS that they need such as Linux or Ti-RTOS?

(3) How can they measure or know the TSN performance? Can they export a log file or what is the solution?

(4) Can they transfer motion control data (velocity, position) and video file at the same time as TSN specifications?

    Here are the answers and some additional questions

    1)How to check my demo system operate? Do they need to buy a master TSN or not?

    TI : That will depend on what you need in TSN. Which profile ? Which set of protocols.

    2) What is the OS that they need such as Linux or Ti-RTOS?

    TI : TI will provide examples on both RTOS and Linux, but you are no limited by it. Solutions can be ported to any OS using the OS abstraction layer.

    3) How can they measure or know the TSN performance? Can they export a log file or what is the solution?

    TI : Kindly provide details on what performance parameters you are looking for, which profile and protocol ?

    4) Can they transfer motion control data (velocity, position) and video file at the same time as TSN specifications?

    TI : May we know the details ? which protocol and which motor control application are you looking at ? There is no demo right now which integrates TSN with Motor control but there are standalone apps which do them individually
