J6EVM5777: Update firmware from flash

We created a demo on the J6 EVM board where the firmware is booted from the SD card.

Since we cannot use the SD card in the final production unit, can we boot from the QSPI flash and program it over JTAG?

I'm looking at sheet 7 of EVM schematic "VAYU EVM" dwg# 516582-0001 RevH.

We plan on using the DRA756 processor. How can I check if my code and data fully fit within the SoC versus external RAM?

Hi Kevin,

Can you let me know which SDK you are using?
When you mention firmware do you mean u-boot/MLO or a custom firmware for a remotecore?

Thanks for your response.

We are using CCS 8.3.1, RTOS SDK 04_03_00_05, and PDK DRA7xx 1.0.10.

We have built the app on J6 EVM to the point that we have MLO and Appimage on SD card, we power EVM on, it boots from SD card and does sound processing we need.

Since we cannot use the SD card in the final production unit, that is why I am asking about booting up from the QSPI flash and the method to get the programming on the flash.
