No u-boot prompt with OMAP 35x EVM

Hi,

I'm a French student in engineering school and I have to complete a project with the OMAP 35x EVM from TI.

When I got started with it I tried to reflash the Micron NAND with with the scripts (.txt) and I found a problem. Since I could not anymore see u-boot prompt in Minicom.

I tried to transfert u-boot with downloadutilies.exe but it didn't work.

If someone could help me I would be grateful.

But it did not help me very much. I have still few questions.

I'm not sure that my tftp server is good configured. I installed it on my host Centos (linux) in Virtualbox. Can we use tftp transfert just by pluging the board and one computer? without dhcp server or switches, just creating a private network between the board and my computer?

I have no reaction in Minicom when I power on the board. I can't connect me me as root on the board. I am very embarased.

What serial port did you plug your EVM board to? UBOOT will output its console on UART1 by default, also check that jumper J8 is set on UART1. In order use TFTP over VirtualBox, you need to make sure your network driver is configured as "bridged" (and not NAT). Then you can check if your TFTP server is properly configured by connecting from your host machine in loopback:

$ tftp localhost

tftp> get uImage

If the download completes, then your TFTP server is all set and you just need to properly configure your network settings on the board to access the server the same way. Using static IPs or DHCP should work either way.
