How can I copy my work from host at "mvl/workdir/filesys" to the EVM HDD?

Hello,

I have working successfully with the DM6446. It's a great technologies and very powerful integrating the DSP and ARM architectures.However, at this point in my project I need to store all my work at the HDD, to send my application to the field. I have done my work so far in the Linux Host via nfs, using the NAND configuration. How can I copy my work from host at "mvl/workdir/filesys" to the EVM HDD? There are some specified procedures for this ?

Hi,

You can follow these steps:

1. Boot the EVM with NFS.

2. Mount the hard disk using mount command: mount /dev/hdaX /mnt

3. Copy the contents from source to destination: cp -R mvl/workdir/filesys /mnt

4. Set the bootargs from u-boot properly to fetch the file system from hard disk instead of from NFS. Refer to http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:_DM6467_DVEVM_Additional_Procedures#Booting_from_Flash_Using_the_EVM.E2.80.99s_Hard_Drive_File_System for help.

Thanks Sudhakar for your reply.

The porblem is that when you create the mount in the EVM the Host Linux cannot see the directory. And after I copy all the files it was in the Host not in the EVM. I attempt to copy from the EVM and from the Host, and in both case it lead to the same result.

Other suggestions?
