Detect VideoStd on BT.656 input on DM355

I am using DM355 with BT656 signal as videoinput (no decoder like TVP5146!) Is there a way to detect the Videostandard this digital input? I need to detect if input is PAL or NTSC. I took a look at the VPFE docs, but did not find a way how to detect the videostandard. Anyone has an idea how I can do this?

VPFE doesn't have any feature to detect the input standard. You may need to check for such option in the input source itself(such as decoder).

Isn t there any other way to detect the videostd? maybe to detect how many lines are written to DDRRAM?

Josef Kohler,

VPFE is 'generic', for it, what is 'incoming' is video info. It doesn't understand whether it is SD, RAW or HD. It needs to be configured based what input source it is(i.e., CCDC) connected to. So, its not possible to detect in VPFE.
