Audio playtime is always shorter than Video

We have used PCM, G711, AAC Encoder on DM368.

But the encoded audio itself is slightly shorter than the video.

There is a serious sync problem between audio and video even after one minute.
(it gradually goes slightly apart from 20~30secs)

After we tried three formats we found also
that the example code from TI has also an out-of-sync problem.

So there's no idea for us to solve this problem now.

How do I fix this problem?

  • Sean,

I dont think TI DVSDK/SDK provides audio video sycn functionlity. They both run independently. WIll move this post to Linux forum, maybe someone can add details.

  • Sean,

As Yashwant pointed DVSDK demo does not handle syncronization, they both decoders (audio and video) runs independently. If you want to handle AV sync etc then better to use Gstreamer type of framework. If you are using DVSDK 4.01, then it comes with GStreamer integrated in the kit and you can use that to handle AV sync. But note that GStreamer does not have element for speech encode or decode elements.

    Thanks
