Hi,

I have a question about the LB_FEP loopback mode introduced in the SPRUHO3a document.

Table 9-18 page 153 requires to set DMUX_TXB_SEL_O = 5 , while the explanations given in the text just below require DMUX_TXB_SEL_O_=0

Please could you tell which value is correct.

I am very sorry that this thread got missed out. I will take a look on this. I shall get back to you after I contact local SerDes expert for clarification.

Hi Bruno,

Checked with local serdes expert and got this confirmed. Step 4 mentioned in the document is incorrect. Thanks for pointing this out.

Please correct the step 4 at your side as below.

Step 4. Enable the PMA layer parallel loopback by setting dmux_txb_sel = 0x0 --> 0x5 and cktrans_en = 0x1

Please note that this is also implemented in serdes diag test under PDK. (pdk/packages/ti/diag/serdes_diag/serdes_diag.h

This is under Serdes_Diag_SetFEPLoopback() function.
