Dear All,

It is a general question i have, is there a possibility to use/port Linux instead of DSP/BIOS (5.x or 6.x) as RTOS to work on TI DSP processor ?

The short answer is yes, Linux works on a large number of embedded processors.

TI provides Linux support for some of their devices: which one are you using?

I use OMAP-L138 which include ARM9 and C674x VLIW DSP and we use linux on ARM9.

There is an active open source project to port Linux to Texas Instruments c64x family of digital signal processors and multicore devices. Go to the following Wiki site for more details:

Yes, you can port a Linux kernel on TI DSP. I'm actually working on this and I succeeded to load the kernel on TMS320C6474. If you're always looking for how to do it I can give you more details.
