TDA4VM: Our own designed TDA4 board can not boot when Display Port 0(DP0) connect to a display

Our own designed TDA4 board can not boot when the DP0 connect to a display.

But the TDA4 EVM (www.ti.com/.../J721EXCPXEVM) can boot when its DP0 connect to the same display.

the DP0 schematic of our own TDA4 board is the same as the TDA4 EVM.

We use MicroSD Card to boot, and we use different MicroSD Cards in our own TDA4 Board and TDA4 EVM, is the problem related to the uboot or Linux in the different MicroSD Card?

Hi Hui Liu,

The only thing that i can think of is, due to some interference on the board, it is not booting fine.. Can you please get your board schematic reviewed?

To summarize information thus far:

1. Created custom hardware design based of TI's EVM

2. The custom hardware boots when nothing is connected to DP connector, but does not boot when DP panel is connected

3. Custom uboot/Linux card is used on customer hardware

Can you provide more information on booting vs not booting? Do you have boot logs for both cases, or is the non-booting version completely dead?

Any other changes between booting and non-booting cases? (Uses exact same SD card/software)?
