It appears Figure 26-23 on p. 5057 has incorrect decision logic after CMD1 is sent.  Per the paragraphs on the previous page (26.1.8.5.4) the MMC identifies itself by responding to CMD1; the Figure 26-23 shows the opposite. 

Please verify and confirm.

    I agree, it appears "No response received" and "Response received" are reversed in Figure 26-23.  I ask someone more familiar with MMC/SD boot if they are able to confirm. I will provide an update as soon as I hear back from them.

    I finally got a reply and the person more familiar with MMC/SD boot confirmed "No response received" and "Response received" are reversed in Figure 26-23.

    I will file an internal ticket to have this corrected. However, it may take a while since we recently changed publishing tools and there is a back-log to migrate old documents into the new system.
