TDA2P-ACD: ASIC_ID length for RomVersion=3

Part Number: TDA2P-ACD

Hi.

According to latest TDA2P_TRM (SPRUIF0C) Table 31-18 Struct ASIC_ID must be 70 bytes in UART case (1+7+4+23+35).
My TDA2P device answers only with 62 bytes ASIC_ID, but ROM code version is "3".
Please, see attached picture.
It's OK or not?

Device marking: "TDA2PHFUQACDQ1  8AP07KQ  941  ACD  G1"
AsicId Rom Version: 0x03

  • Senchuss,

I am checking on this with the ROM expert; I do expect the ASIC ID to start on the first byte.  What is your starting dump address?

    A few more questions:

    1. Is the ASIC ID dump always the same? Is it repeatable on multiple boards?

    2. Please probe the MPU, CORE, UART (VDDSHV9) voltage levels when ASIC ID is sent and make sure they are at the proper voltage

    3.  Are you able to boot?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Shiou Mei

  • Hi.

Usb2Uart adapter was buggy. It was be replaced with new.

Connection between TDA2P:Porz(in)/RstOut(out) and 917_A54:WarmReset(in)/RstOut(out=Porz) was be corrected.

Now AsicID is always 70 bytes.

See attached picture (dump from start).

Yes, we can boot TDA2P device via UART.

    Problem resolved.

    Thanks a lot.
