AM6548: Microsoft Azure ThreadX's

Hi Team,

A customer bought AM65x industrial development kit. On Microsoft Azure ThreadX's website it states that the Sitara SoC's have recently been supported by ThreadX. The customer wants to confirm if ThreadX can run on the R5F and A53 cores? Aside from ThreadX, Yocto and Vxworks, what other RTOS can run on the cores? Is WIndows 10 IoT also supported?

He also wants to know if the cores currently do not support the above mentioned ThreadX or Windows 10 IoT, what are the future plans of our product team?

    Hi Danilo,

    It should be possible to run ThreadX, Windows 10 IOT or other commercial RTOS on this platform on the standard ARM cores in the Sitara/Jacinto SoCs.

    TI does not release an SDK for these and it can be supported through 3P engagements to build on top of the TI SDK for RTOS and Linux that we offer through ti.com.

    Please take this discussion internally with the BU/Product Line for further discussion on this topic.
