OMAP-L138: IBIS model for SATA

Part Number: OMAP-L138
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

The IBIS models on the OMAPL138 website do not include the SATA pins (they are NC on the “ZWT” package model – J1, J2, N2, N1, L1, and L2).

Would you be able to provide a model for the SATA pins? Are there AMI models to be used instead?

For OMAPL138 / C6748 we do not have IBIS model for SATA. I believe initial IBIS models did not have support for DDR, USB and SATA - which was consistent on how we supported the older devices.

You can look at internal archive posts on similar topics here

I think over the years we added some support for USB, some for DDR (even though expectation is that customer follows the routing rules in the datasheet). No support for SATA.

No IBIS-AMI model either. I am sorry that we will not be able to provide any additional collateral on SATA in terms of IBIS etc.

Do note that SATA on OMAPL138 has an errata that makes it very challenging to be used with latest hard drives and there is very limited support on software side also ( may have more on Linux from legacy community support etc).
