Hello
At the moment my company is using OMAP-L138 as the main CPU for PBX-related purposes. A very important feature that is required from our point of view is the McASP interface. OMAP-L138 has 16 McASP pins, which leaves us with 8 bidirectional PCM channels. For our next high-end product we are considering C6A8167. Unfortunately, McASP in this processor is organized in a different way.
C6A8167 has three McASP peripherals: McASP0 (6 pins), McASP1 (2 pins) and McASP2 (2 pins). My question is whether those McASPs can be used in conjunction with each other and form a 'big' 10-pin McASP peripheral? Naturally they would all be clocked from the same source and have a common Framing Signal. Is this feasible?
Kind regards
Szymon
