AM3358: No power button Power Sequence check

Part Number: AM3358

Hi Expert,

My customer design AM3358 board without power button.

Does the power sequence follow the datasheet Figure 6-6. Power-Supply Sequencing With RTC Feature Disabled?

What are the VDDS_RTC and PWRONRSTn function purpose on the power sequence?

Thanks

Daniel

  • Hello Daniel,

This diagram describes the order in which specific power rails and critical signals should be applied when powering on the device.

The timing signals represented at the top of the Power Sequencing diagram include:

    • VDDS_RTC: RTC voltage domain
    • All other 1.8V power supplies

Please review the additional footnotes (A-G) for the Power-Supply Sequencing with RTC Feature Disabled for more info. Note E mentions that the VDDS_RTC and CAP_VDD_RTC power inputs can be ramped independent of other power supplies if PMIC_POWER_EN functionality is not required. Since you are operating with the RTC feature disabled the PMIC_POWER_EN function is also disabled (See Note A).

The PWRONRSTn signal is equivalent to the SoC Power-on Reset (porz) (active Low) function.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,
